The Wedge is a family run residential care home, originally purchased by John and Monica Macey in 1984. At the time of purchase the property was registered for 5 residents. Over the years the home has been extensively extended and is now registered for 21 residents with all of the bedrooms having en-suite facilities.

The home is managed by John and Monica's daughter, Jo Macey, a qualified nurse, who took over the running over 17 years ago.

We have an excellent team of staff and are delighted that we have a low turnover of our team, which of course provides continuity of care for our residents.

At the Wedge we do not employ agency staff.

We are concious that this our resident's home and visitors are always welcome as they bring such pleasure to our residents.. We are a pet friendly home and understand the benefits and comfort pets can bring to our residents.

We do not run a regimented regime as each day will be different depending on the needs of our residents. However whatever is going on we always make sure there is time for a chat and a drink. OIur aim is for our residents to feel well loved and cared for in a home from home environment.

We have an activity co-ordinator in the home five days a week to help our residents with a complete range of entertainment and activities which can be as a group or on a one to one basis.
